Housing +
In response to the housing crisis, this project explores an alternative residential model that combines affordable living with community-centered commerce. The design integrates all major building systems including structure, HVAC, egress, and code compliance, within a modular framework. A mix of one- to four-bedroom units is arranged on an 8′ x 8′ grid to prioritize privacy and adaptability. Precast concrete panels, ceramic rain-screen cladding, and frosted glass define each unit, while a central atrium with an operable enclosure supports market stalls and shared circulation. This project marks a first step in designing fully integrated architecture in collaboration with interdisciplinary consultants.
